Four Ada SHS Students Arrested Over Viral Cutlass Threat Video

The Tema Regional Police Command has arrested four students of Ada Senior High Technical School following the circulation of a disturbing viral video showing a student wielding a cutlass and allegedly threatening other students on campus.
According to the police, the incident came to their attention at about 12:10 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2026, after the video surfaced online. A police night patrol team was immediately dispatched to the school to intervene.
With support from school authorities, police arrested Raymond Gyamfi, 18, Oscar Amemoair, 18, Odartey Wilson, 18, and one juvenile who were identified in the footage. The suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations.

The police have advised students to resolve disputes peacefully through established school structures and avoid acts of violence, intimidation, and misconduct.
Parents and school authorities have also been urged to strengthen guidance, supervision, and discipline among students to help maintain safety and order in schools.
The Tema Regional Police Command assured the public that investigations are ongoing and that further updates will be communicated in due course.
