Interior Minister Receives Huawei Delegation to Deepen Digital Transformation Collaboration

The Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has received a delegation from Huawei led by the President of Huawei Southern Africa Region, Mr. Hover Gao, during a courtesy call at the Ministry in Accra.

The visit formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between the Government of Ghana and Huawei in advancing digital transformation, technology and innovation within the country’s security architecture.
Welcoming the delegation, Hon. Muntaka acknowledged the increasingly critical role technology plays in modern security management and national security operations.

He reaffirmed Government’s commitment to leveraging digital solutions to improve operational efficiency across the security sector while enhancing public service delivery.

The Minister further underscored the importance of strategic partnerships with reputable global technology firms such as Huawei in supporting Ghana’s broader digital transformation agenda.
For his part, Mr. Gao commended the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening security and governance systems through technology-driven solutions.

He reiterated Huawei’s readiness to support Ghana’s digitalisation efforts by providing innovative technological solutions aimed at improving efficiency, connectivity and service delivery within public institutions.
Mr. Gao also expressed optimism about deepening cooperation between Huawei and the Ministry, as well as its allied agencies, to advance the country’s digital transformation objectives.
