The Chief Executive Officer of Golden Frimps Ltd, Solomon Nana Frimpong, has expressed strong support for the proposed paternity bill currently before Parliament, describing it as an important initiative that will promote trust, responsibility, and confidence in relationships and marriages.
According to Mr. Frimpong, although the issue has generated mixed reactions among some Ghanaians, he believes the proposed legislation will help address emotional and financial challenges faced by some fathers.
Speaking on the matter, he stated, “How can you sacrifice and take care of a child for many years and later find out that the child is not your biological son or daughter? It is very painful.”
He explained that conducting paternity tests shortly after birth would help establish the true identity of a child’s biological father at an early stage, rather than allowing misunderstandings and emotional trauma to arise later in life.

Mr. Frimpong further noted that the initiative is not intended to destroy relationships or marriages but rather to encourage honesty, transparency, and accountability among couples.
“I fully support the proposed paternity bill before Parliament because it will help build trust and confidence in families and relationships,” he emphasized.
The business executive therefore appealed to Ghanaians to support the bill, stressing that it could help strengthen family unity and promote fairness within society.
He also commended Kwame Asare Obeng for championing the initiative and bringing the issue into national discussion.
Mr. Frimpong concluded by urging lawmakers and stakeholders to carefully examine the proposal in the interest of fairness, family unity, and the well-being of children and parents across the country.
