Six GRNMA Officers Honoured with Prestigious May Day Awards in Koforidua

Six officers of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) have been honoured with prestigious May Day Awards in recognition of their outstanding service and commitment to the Association.


The awards were presented during the national International Workers’ Day 2026 celebration held at Jackson Park in Koforidua.
The awardees—Solomon Ajao (Greater Accra Regional Secretary), George Dassah (Northern Regional Secretary), Patrick Tetteh (Ashanti Regional Secretary), Wujiti Isaac Ninkabs (Eastern Regional Secretary), Moses Robertson Anyigba (National Treasurer), and Lawrence Bagrmwin (Upper West Regional Chairman)—were recognised for their significant contributions at both regional and national levels of the Association.


Their leadership, dedication, and consistency over the years have played a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of the GRNMA and advancing the interests of its members. Through various initiatives, the awardees have championed programmes that align with the socio-economic welfare of nurses and midwives while strengthening the growth and sustainability of the Association.

The recognition, according to the GRNMA, reflects not only the individual achievements of the recipients but also the collective progress of the Association in promoting professional excellence and advocacy within Ghana’s healthcare sector.
