According to the Ministry, the engagement is aimed at improving public understanding of available social protection services while encouraging community ownership and active participation in the successful implementation of these interventions at the grassroots level.

As part of the programme, indigent residents of the community were registered onto the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), enabling them to access essential healthcare services and reinforcing the government’s commitment to expanding social protection coverage for vulnerable populations.
