Delta Air Lines Marks 20 Years of Operations in Ghana

Delta Air Lines has celebrated 20 years of uninterrupted operations in Ghana, marking two decades of strengthening air connectivity between Ghana and the United States while fostering business, tourism, and cultural ties.

Government representatives joined the airline’s leadership, staff, and partners to commemorate the milestone, describing Delta’s presence in Ghana as a testament to the enduring partnership between the two countries.

In remarks delivered at the event, Hon. Julius Debrah, Chief Of Staff commended Delta Air Lines for its consistency, resilience, and unwavering confidence in Ghana’s aviation sector and economic potential. The airline’s two-decade presence was highlighted as a reflection of Ghana’s growing importance as a strategic gateway to Africa.

Beyond providing air transport services, Delta Air Lines has played a significant role in connecting families, facilitating trade and investment, promoting tourism, and strengthening the longstanding relationship between Ghana and the United States.

He reaffirmed government commitment to enhancing the country’s aviation industry through continued investment in modern infrastructure, including the ongoing expansion of facilities at Accra International Airport. These investments are expected to improve connectivity, boost trade and tourism, and support sustainable economic growth.
