The body of an elderly man believed to be in his 60s has been found along the railway line at Alajo following the heavy rains and flooding that affected parts of Accra on Monday.

The discovery was made after floodwaters swept through several communities, leaving behind extensive damage to homes, vehicles, and other properties.

Speaking at the scene, Assistant Division Officer One (ADO1) Alex King Nartey of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said initial assessments indicate that the deceased was likely carried to the railway line by the floodwaters.

He explained that residents living near the area could not identify the man and told emergency responders they had no knowledge of his identity or where he came from.
