Former District Chief Executive (DCE) for Fanteakwa South, Hon. Ernest Ofosu, has called for the construction of flyovers to address increasing traffic congestion in the district, which he attributes to rising migration and population growth.

Speaking on Radio 1’s Morning Show with host Nana Kwabena Addo, Hon. Ofosu expressed concern about the pressure being placed on the district’s road infrastructure.

“Migration is becoming too much in Fanteakwa South due to the roads leading to the main highway. It was not like that before,” he said.

According to the former DCE, the growing number of people moving into the district has led to increased vehicular traffic, making movement more difficult for commuters and motorists.

He emphasized the need for long-term infrastructure solutions, stating, “What we need to do to reduce the traffic is the construction of flyovers, just as we were doing when we were in power.”

Hon. Ofosu noted that expanding and modernizing the district’s transport infrastructure would not only ease congestion but also support economic activities and improve mobility for residents.
