Montreal, Canada – Ghana’s investment potential was prominently showcased in Montreal as investors, business leaders, and key stakeholders gathered for the Invest Ghana Business Roundtable and Exhibition to explore opportunities for enhanced trade, investment, and strategic partnerships.
The event brought together representatives from the public and private sectors to discuss Ghana’s evolving investment landscape and identify avenues for deeper economic collaboration between Ghana and Canada.

Speaking at the forum, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), Mr. Abdul Razak Baba, highlighted the country’s attractive investment climate and the vast opportunities available across key sectors, including agribusiness, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, and technology.

The roundtable also featured remarks from Ghana’s High Commissioner to Canada, H.E. Prof. Dora Francisca Edu-Buandoh, Canada’s High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Myriam Montrat, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority, Dr. Mary Awusi. The speakers underscored the importance of strengthening trade and investment relations between Ghana and Canada while encouraging greater private-sector collaboration.
The business engagement forms part of a series of activities linked to Ghana’s participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, leveraging the global event to promote the country as a preferred destination for investment and business expansion.
Organisers noted that the platform provided an opportunity to showcase Ghana’s economic potential, engage international investors, and foster partnerships that can drive sustainable growth and development.

The Invest Ghana Business Roundtable and Exhibition is expected to contribute to ongoing efforts to attract foreign direct investment and position Ghana as a competitive hub for business and innovation in Africa.
