Jordanian Delegation Calls on Interior Minister to Strengthen Security Cooperation

Accra, June 15, 2026 – A high-level Jordanian delegation, led by Mr. Mo’ath Alzo’bi, Director of Political Affairs at the Office of His Royal Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, has paid a courtesy call on Ghana’s Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, to strengthen bilateral relations and deepen cooperation in security.

The meeting focused on enhancing collaboration in key areas, including counterterrorism, intelligence sharing, and capacity building for security agencies in both countries.

Hon. Muntaka reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to expanding its partnership with Jordan, emphasizing the importance of stronger security and intelligence cooperation in addressing evolving global security challenges.

He noted that increased collaboration and the exchange of expertise would significantly enhance the operational capacity of the security institutions of both nations.

Mr. Alzo’bi, on behalf of the Jordanian delegation, expressed Jordan’s readiness to work closely with Ghana to advance shared security objectives and strengthen cooperation in counterterrorism and other strategic areas of mutual interest.

The discussions highlighted the commitment of Ghana and Jordan to fostering closer ties and working together to address emerging security threats while promoting regional and global peace and stability.
