As part of efforts to address Ghana’s persistent No-Bed Syndrome and improve healthcare delivery, MTN Ghana Foundation has partnered with Sikap3 Adjuma Company Limited to restore and refurbish hospital equipment across eight selected hospitals under the 2026 Yellow Care Programme.
The initiative seeks to provide functional hospital beds, trolleys, and chairs to health facilities facing shortages and equipment challenges, ensuring that more patients can receive timely and dignified medical care.
Leading the restoration works is Mr. Charles Darko Prempeh, Managing Partner of Sikap3 Adjuma Company Limited, a maintenance and restoration firm with over a decade of experience in equipment rehabilitation and facility maintenance. Recognising the company’s expertise and track record, MTN Ghana contracted Sikap3 Adjuma to undertake the refurbishment of old and damaged hospital equipment and restore them to their original usable condition.
Speaking on the significance of the project, Mr. Prempeh noted that many healthcare facilities possess equipment that, although worn out, can be restored to full functionality through professional maintenance and refurbishment.

“We are honoured to collaborate with MTN Ghana on this important healthcare intervention. Through our expertise in maintenance and restoration, we will refurbish hospital beds, trolleys, and chairs to their original state, making them safe and usable once again for patients and healthcare workers,” he said.
He added that the initiative goes beyond equipment restoration and directly contributes to improving healthcare outcomes across the beneficiary hospitals.
“Every restored bed represents a patient who can receive treatment without unnecessary delays. This project is about restoring hope, improving patient care, and supporting healthcare facilities to better serve their communities,” Mr. Prempeh stated.
The MTN No-Bed Syndrome Initiative is expected to significantly increase the number of available beds in the selected hospitals, helping to reduce overcrowding, long waiting times, and the challenges patients often face in securing admission for treatment.
By breathing new life into existing hospital equipment, the partnership between MTN Ghana Foundation and Sikap3 Adjuma Company Limited demonstrates how strategic collaboration and innovation can provide practical solutions to critical healthcare challenges.
As refurbishment works commence across the eight hospitals, the initiative stands as a testament to the shared commitment of both organisations to improving healthcare infrastructure and ensuring that more Ghanaians have access to quality medical care when they need it most.
