Accident-Prone Sections on Accra–Kumasi Highway Need Urgent Attention – Radio1,Broadcast Journalist appeals to Road minister.

The host of Radio1 100.7 FM’s morning programme Oman Mu Nsem, Nana Kwabena Addo, popularly known as Mr. Prez on Radio, has called on the Government and the relevant road authorities to take immediate steps to address the increasing number of accidents on the Accra–Kumasi Highway.

Speaking on his morning show, Nana Kwabena Addo expressed deep concern over the recurring crashes along the Apedwa, Ayinasin and Birem Bridge sections of the highway.

He questioned why these areas continue to record frequent accidents despite the loss of many lives and repeated public concern.
According to him, while reckless driving and human error contribute to road crashes, the condition and design of some portions of the highway also require urgent attention. He stressed that identifying the root causes of these accidents and implementing lasting engineering solutions should be a national priority. he asked.

The broadcaster therefore appealed to the Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Governs Kwame Agbodza, to personally pay attention to these accident-prone sections of the Accra–Kumasi Highway. He described the Minister as an action-oriented leader who is known for identifying problems and working towards practical solutions.

The broadcast journalist urged the Ministry of Roads and Highways, the Ghana Highway Authority, road engineers and all relevant stakeholders to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the Apedwa, Ayinasin and Birem Bridge stretches and implement the necessary safety measures to protect motorists and passengers.

He concluded by stating that every life matters and that urgent intervention will help reduce road crashes, save lives and improve confidence among road users on one of Ghana’s busiest highways.
