Mampong, Ashanti North | July 5, 2026 — The Ashanti North Regional Police Command has launched an investigation into a viral video on social media that allegedly depicts misconduct by a female police officer in the Afrancho/Akomadan District.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Command confirmed that the officer captured in the footage has been identified and that investigations are underway to establish the full facts and circumstances surrounding the incident, which is reported to have occurred on July 3, 2026.
The Police Command assured the public that appropriate action would be taken upon the conclusion of the investigation, in line with the findings.
