Mr. Richard Nunekpeku, Esq., Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), has reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to developing a world-class gold value chain through local refining, jewellery manufacturing, and responsible sourcing.

Speaking at the Ghana Chamber of Mines’ Mining for Development Forum, he revealed that GoldBod is supplying gold to locally licensed refineries while supporting them to secure London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) accreditation within the next three to five years.

He explained that the initiative forms part of efforts to strengthen Ghana’s gold refining capacity and enhance the country’s competitiveness in the global bullion market.
