The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Ga South Municipal Assembly, Hon. Moses Kabu Kubi Ocansey, has once again demonstrated proactive and responsive leadership through the swift implementation of emergency interventions following the recent heavy rains that affected parts of the municipality.

In a decisive effort to restore normalcy, the Assembly, under the MCE’s direction, deployed heavy-duty equipment to clear large sand deposits that had blocked sections of the roads at Tuba Junction, Osiadan, and Atala. The exercise successfully reopened the affected roads, ensuring the safe and uninterrupted movement of motorists, commuters, traders, and residents.

In addition to the road clearance, extensive desilting works were undertaken to improve the free flow of stormwater through drainage channels. The intervention is expected to significantly reduce the risk of flooding, protect lives and property, and enhance environmental sanitation across the affected communities.
