Police Arrest Alleged Highway Robbery Kingpin in Eastern Region – DSP Fianko

The Public Relations Officer of the Eastern South Police Command, DSP David Fianko Okyere, has disclosed that the police have arrested an alleged armed robbery kingpin believed to be involved in a series of highway robbery operations within the Eastern Region and its surrounding areas.
According to DSP Fianko Okyere, the suspect is believed to be a key figure in the criminal operations, particularly targeting travellers and residents along major highways and other locations in the region.
He made this known during an appearance on the environmental programme, “Our Land, Our Future,” hosted by Oppong Kyekyeku.
DSP Fianko Okyere assured the public that the Ghana Police Service is working tirelessly to clamp down on armed robbery and other criminal activities in the region.

He stressed that the police will continue to intensify their efforts to ensure the safety and security of residents, adding that the Eastern Region remains relatively peaceful in terms of security.
The police, he said, are committed to maintaining peace and ensuring that criminals are brought to justice.
