Education Minister, Haruna Iddrisu, has directed all Senior High Schools (SHSs), Senior High Technical Schools (SHTSs) and Technical Vocational Institutes to stop manual admissions as part of efforts to ensure a transparent and orderly Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) placement process.
The directive is aimed at preventing irregularities and ensuring that students are admitted strictly through the approved placement system.
Mr Iddrisu cautioned heads of institutions against bypassing the official placement process through manual admissions.
He warned that schools and institutions that disregard the directive and continue to admit students manually will face sanctions.
