The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has arrested three suspects in connection with a cocaine shipment from Ghana that was seized by French authorities.
The cocaine, concealed in a shipping container, is estimated to be worth $261 million.
According to NACOC, the three suspects are believed to have represented and facilitated the activities of Dutch fugitive Jos Leijdekkers, popularly known as “Bolle Jos,” in Ghana.
The Commission said the arrests form part of ongoing investigations into the shipment and the wider network allegedly involved in the trafficking of the narcotics.
