Cedi sees marginal dip against Dollar to GH₵11.65 — Bank of Ghana
Bank of Ghana interbank rates show the Cedi buying at GH₵11.64 and selling at GH₵11.65 against the US dollar following a marginal weekend dip.

The Ghana Cedi experienced a slight depreciation against the US dollar on Monday, October 26, according to official interbank exchange rates released by the Bank of Ghana (BoG).
The local currency opened the week buying at GH₵11.6442 and selling at GH₵11.6558 to the dollar. This reflects a marginal dip from Friday, October 23, when the Cedi was buying at GH₵11.5992 and selling at GH₵11.6108 per dollar.
Despite the brief movement, Bank of Ghana Governor Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama emphasized that the broader economic trajectory remains strong. Speaking at the launch of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) 2025 Annual Investment Report, Dr. Asiama highlighted the Cedi’s overall recovery against major foreign currencies, underpinned by robust external reserves and momentum across key sectors.

“These developments have contributed to creating a more stable and predictable environment for businesses and investors,” Dr. Asiama noted, pointing out that national growth has become increasingly broad-based, driven by gains in agriculture and services alongside a steady rebound in industry. The central bank expects these macroeconomic fundamentals and strengthening foreign reserves to continue anchoring the local currency over the coming quarters.
