The Fanteakwa South Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mark Okraku Tenkorang, has officially launched his campaign to retain the chairmanship position ahead of the party’s upcoming constituency executive elections.
The campaign launch, held at Adjeikrom in the Fanteakwa South Constituency, brought together NDC delegates, supporters and members of his campaign team.
Addressing the delegates, Mr. Okraku Tenkorang appealed to them to vote for him and his team, citing what he described as their efforts to strengthen the party’s structures and improve its electoral performance in the constituency.
According to him, his administration worked tirelessly to increase the NDC’s votes in the 2024 parliamentary and presidential elections.
He said although Fanteakwa South has traditionally been considered a strong area for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the commitment of NDC executives and grassroots members had helped make the party increasingly attractive to voters.
Mr. Okraku Tenkorang further claimed that his leadership had helped attract new members to the NDC, contributing to an increase in the party’s parliamentary and presidential votes.
He also highlighted his relationships with NDC executives at the Eastern Regional and national levels, as well as contacts and party members abroad.

He said these connections had enabled him to lobby for opportunities and support for party members and residents in the Fanteakwa South Constituency.
“Party members can attest to the work that my team and I have undertaken during our tenure,” he said.
Mr. Okraku Tenkorang therefore appealed to the delegates to retain him and his team, saying this would enable them to continue strengthening the party’s structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.
He expressed confidence that continued unity, hard work and commitment among executives and grassroots members would help the NDC further consolidate its presence in the constituency and pursue its goal of winning the parliamentary seat in 2028.
The NDC is scheduled to hold its Fanteakwa South constituency executive elections on October 24 and 25, 2026. Reports indicate that Mr. Okraku Tenkorang is seeking a third term, while Agyekum Dampare has also filed to contest the chairmanship position.
