Speaking to the media, Hon. Mercy Korang explained that the projects formed part of the Fanteakwa South District Assembly’s development agenda and were being undertaken in line with the Assembly’s allocated funds.
She assured residents that the district would continue to witness significant development, particularly in education, healthcare and the provision of potable drinking water.
According to her, the Assembly remains committed to improving the living conditions of residents by investing in essential infrastructure that meets the needs of communities across the district.
Hon. Korang appealed to beneficiary communities, school authorities, teachers and other stakeholders to take good care of the facilities to ensure their long-term sustainability.
She urged teachers to make effective use of the newly commissioned classroom blocks by delivering quality teaching and learning to improve educational outcomes.
She also noted that the classrooms had been equipped with fans to create a more comfortable learning environment for pupils and teachers.
The DCE stressed that proper maintenance of the facilities was essential to protecting public investments and ensuring that future generations continued to benefit from them.
Hon. Korang further assured residents that development would be extended across the district, urging communities that had not yet benefited from projects to remain patient.
She explained that development was a continuous process and that other communities would have their turn as the Assembly continued implementing its plans.
She called for cooperation and understanding among residents, emphasising that the Assembly was committed to ensuring that development reached communities throughout Fanteakwa South.
The DCE also disclosed that the District Assembly had paid contractors working on its projects, underscoring the importance of fulfilling its financial obligations to support the implementation of development initiatives.
She called on residents to continue praying for the government and expressed appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for his vision of extending development to the local level.
Hon. Korang expressed optimism that continued government support and cooperation with the District Assembly would enable Fanteakwa South to undertake more projects to address the needs of its residents.
The projects are expected to contribute to improved educational infrastructure, better access to healthcare and increased availability of potable water, particularly in the beneficiary communities.
