Clarification: NDC National Congress Is Not Suspended – George Lawson

The Deputy General Secretary for the Opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, Mr George Lawson who is seeking re-election for the same position has clarified that the injunction is not on the entire National Congress rather it’s on only the youth wing election which comes off next week.

 

A National Deputy Youth Organiser aspirant, Elikem Kotoko, who was disqualified from the competition during vetting has succeeded in securing injunction on the upcoming Youth wing election of the party.

 

In an interview on Radio1FM on Saturday October 20, 2018 Mr George Lawson said it is not as it’s been carried out there. He emphatically stated that the General Congress and the Women’s wing as of the time granting interview has not been have not been dragged to court rather only the youth wing has suffered this injunction.

 

Mr Lawson used the opportunity to appeal to delegates of the NDC to reconsider him as he wants to retain his position as the Deputy General Secretary of the Party.
