The Deputy Eastern Regional Secretary for the opposition National Democratic Congress, Mr Kudjoe Adukpoe has urged Ghanaians and all Party faithfuls to ignore that Eastern Regional NDC abandoned Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin during his visit to the Eastern Region as part of his campaign tour for the Flagbearership race in NDC.
He said speculations that the Regional Executives snubbed the aspirant are all politically motivated and that the party faithfuls should considered such rumours as hoax as they are one of the attempts to tear the party up and cause confusion among them.
He revealed this to the Susubiribi Morning Show host, Captain Kofi Owusu on Radio1FM, 100.7MHZ on Wednesday 24th October, 2018 when the host asked him whether Hon. Bagbin is still in the region.
According to Mr Adukpoe, 10 out of 18 Executives were present at the visit of which he chaired the program so he does not fathom why those propaganda are going viral. He said they Executives are committed to giving every aspirant an equal opportunity, privilege and space to campaign so members of the Umbrella Party should ignore those misinformation.
The second Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Member of Parliament for Nadowli West Constituency in the Upper West Region who is also vying to become the flagbearer of the NDC is reported to have been abandoned by the Eastern Regional Executives of the NDC.
