Asamoah Gyan’s return to full fitness ‘feels like a new signing’ for Turkish side Kayserispor.

The performance of the Ghanaian superstar has increased significantly in the team’s pre-season preparations ahead of the start of the new season.

The 32-year-old has put in some superb displays for the Turkish side in pre-season – leaving the club’s sporting director Erol Bedir in high hopes ahead of the new campaign.

“We can count Varela and Asamoah’s form as a new transfer,” said an optimistic Erol Bedir ahead of their season opener against Antalyspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Monday.

Blighted by injuries, the iconic Ghana captain endure a frustrating debut season, scoring just once in 13 appearances.
