Aggrieved customers of Goldcoast bank, one of the few indigenous banks in Ghana are bitterly and passionately appealing to the president of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his government to quickly come to their aid to sanction the president of Groupe Nduom and founder of Progressive People’s Party, PPP, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom for failing to pay them their due of their investments in the Goldcoast bank.
According to the aggrieved customers, Goldcoast bank have for about a year now failed to render them withdrawal transactions.
In a phone interview on the Susubiribi morning show on Radio 1FM 100.7MHZ with the PRO of these aggrieved customers of Ashanti regional chapter, Samuel Odeneho explained to the host, Nana Kwabena Addo Papabi that Dr Nduom for some time now, has not been able to tell them any tangible reasons except to promise them he will pay them when the government of Ghana pays back his money and therefore appeals to Akufo-Addo to arrest him and deal with him just like he handled NAM 1’s issue.
“We are in this country when government sent delegation to arrest NAM 1 in Dubai but Paa Kwesi Nduom is in Ghana here and the president is not doing anything about it. We want Akufo-Addo to arrest him and force him to pay us because the only assurance he keeps on giving us is that he has given loans to contractors working for government and government has not paid them so anytime they are paid and he gets his share, he would fulfill all promises that is why we want the president to act quickly to help us retrieve our money”, Samuel Odeneho posited.
Moreover, he added that if after one month and they are at a standstill, they will embark on a nationwide demonstration to register their displeasure against the politician and government.
However, Security and Exchange commission has acknowledged the mess and has ordered the bank to stop transaction until further notice.
