#BringBackOurGirls: Recent Kidnaps Have Political Undertone – Security Expert

Dr Franklin Biney, a security Expert has revealed that the recent hearings of kidnapping in the Western region might probably have political undertones especially with the security agencies that are mandated to ensure the safety of Ghanaian citizens and protect all at large.

Dr Biney believes the kind of personnel recruited in the security agency have long been politically influenced and they are not picked based on your capabilities but nepotism and favouritism.

He made these revelations on the susubiribi morning show on Radio1FM, 100.7MHZ on wednesday January 23 2019 when the host of the show, Captain Kofi Owusu asked him why this occurences in the nation.

However, Dr Biney said inasmuch as, there might be political undertones, persons involved may also have family squabbles. That not alone, financial problems and rituals might be catapults to these kidnaps.

“It has a political undertone. Based on how they are recruited, they might not have the capabilities to execute that mandate. Again when two people have fights, one can kidnap a member of the other and financial crises can also contribute to the kidnaps”, Dr Biney revealed.

It is reported that about 5 people have got missing in Takoradi from August 2018 last year. Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie, 18 years was last seen on 21st December 2018. Ruth Love Quayson, 18years was last seen on 4th December 2018 and Priscilla Blessing Bentum, 21years was also last seen on 17th August, 2018.

Police are on the search for the the perpetrators.
